How do telemedicine appointments work?

New patient appointments need to be in person. Follow-up appointments can be virtual (telemedicine), either through the phone or video conferencing through Zoom. Just tell the front office at the Walnut Creek Naturopathic clinic if you would like to do your follow-up appointments via phone or Zoom when you schedule those appointments.

What happens at my first appointment?

Your initial appointment will be up to 90 minutes and is important in establishing your health goals. This visit will cover your full health history, any laboratory tests you bring in, your current treatments and any questions you may have. It will also include a general treatment plan and any additional lab work indicated for your specific conditions.

How long are follow-up appointments?

Follow-up appointments will be up to 60 minutes, in increments of 15 minutes depending on the complexity of your case. Most follow-up appointments are 30 to 45 minutes. Results of laboratory tests will be reviewed, and your treatment plan will be refined depending on your symptoms and progress.

Do you accept insurance?

Our clinic does not directly bill insurance, but we will happily provide you with a medical superbill that can be submitted for reimbursement by your health insurance. Please check with your insurance for coverage. You may also use a Health Savings account (HSA) or Flex Spending account (FSA) for Naturopathic visits. Superbills will be provided upon request.

How do I pay my bill?

Payment is due at the time of service for your appointment. We're sorry, but insurance is not accepted. Credit cards, cash, and checks are accepted as payments. If supplements are recommended, they are an additional cost to the consultation fees. Some lab work, like basic blood work, may be run through insurance, but other specialty labs are also additional to the consultation fees.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, a fee of $100 will be charged.
